The Story

Fellini Koolini’s is a passion project rooted in the soul of an authentic Italian bistro. The goal was to build a brand identity that felt timeless and deeply personal, capturing the warmth of traditional Italian dining while injecting a sense of playfulness. It needed to feel like a space where high-quality ingredients meet genuine community connection. My task was to craft a narrative that felt inviting and elevated, moving away from "stuffy" bistro tropes to create something that felt comfortable, clean, and entirely true to the dining experience.

The Foundation

I built the foundation of this brand around a narrative of quality and intentionality. Every design element, from the stationery to the food truck visuals, was crafted to endorse the company’s focus on the craft of cooking. I wanted the brand to feel like an extension of the kitchen, using organic shapes and a sophisticated, inviting color palette. The visual system was designed to be modular and scalable, ensuring that the identity remained just as effective on
a small menu as it did when wrapped around a large-scale food truck.

Design Decisions

One of the most defining design decisions was the development of the primary logo. I introduced an abstract graphic that acts as a visual shorthand for the bistro, featuring a clever, sweeping element that represents a fork with a delicate pasta noodle. This subtle touch provides a playful focal point that balances the professional, clean typography used throughout the brand. I also leaned into a specific philosophy regarding the wine program, choosing to highlight offerings based on quality and their ability to endorse the company’s vision rather than simply categorizing them as high-end. This nuance helps ground the brand in reality, making it feel more accessible and authentic to the guest.

The Final Look

The finished identity delivers a cohesive brand ecosystem, including a refined logo suite, custom stationery, and a fully themed food truck design. By thinking through every touchpoint—from the physical menu in the bistro to the way the branding wraps around the food truck—I was able to create an experience that feels consistent and thoughtful. The final result is a brand that honors the roots of an Italian bistro while standing out with a modern, clear, and personality-driven aesthetic that resonates with diners.

The Heart Behind The Portfolio

I’m Cassidy Torraville, a graphic designer specializing in branding, packaging, print, and game UI. But if you strip away the software and the file formats, I’m a storyteller. I approach design with a simple belief: visuals should do more than just look good—they should make you feel something. Inspired by immersive environments and rich, unexpected aesthetics, I build work that is purposeful, engaging, and built to last.

My toolkit centers around Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma, which I use to transform raw concepts into living identities. I sharpened my craft studying Graphic Design at Fanshawe College and collaborating with industry professionals through the RGD Mentorship Program. Those spaces taught me how to think strategically, defend my design choices, and thrive in fast-moving, collaborative environments.

I leave a piece of myself in everything I create. That personal investment is what allows me to connect deeply with my work and, in turn, helps my designs connect authentically with audiences. I’m always looking for new creative challenges, unexpected collaborations, and opportunities to grow.
